First Week of School 2013/2014

The number one thing I love about homeschooling is the flexibility.  What better way to start our school year than to show you how that works around here?  Our first week we did 5 days of work in 3 days!  Here is why - Monday was suppose to be our first official day of school.

Trevor's grandmother passed away  and the burial and family dinner were on Monday.  Needless to say school did not start on Monday.  Tuesday was Josiah's first day of speech - which means leaving the house in the middle of the day.  Wednesdays we have PE/tumbling in the morning, so no full day.  We have been trying to have a play date at our friends pool all summer.  Our free days never seemed to match up and the pool closed on Labor Day.   So Friday we spent the day swimming with our friends.
We still managed to get all of our work done for the week.  The boys are doing great, the excitement hasn't worn off yet!  Here are a few pictures from our first week!

My kids are loving the science curriculum this year!
