We are not all called to adopt

If you have known Trevor and me for any amount of time you know we have always planned on adopting.   So far that hasn't happened.  Every time we think we are to walk down that road God has said, "NO"  or "not yet".   That doesn't mean we are to forget about orphans all together.   James 1:27 says, "Religion that God your Father accepts as pure and faultless is this:  to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."

At this phase of our lives we see the best way to live out this verse is to support and encourage our friends who are adopting.   We are surrounded by many friends God has called to adopt.  We can be a listening ear.  We can pray.  We can financially support their adoption.

That is where you come in!  We have friends who have just begun the long process of international adoption.  You can follow this link and financially give to them:  Kaurin Family Adoption

I'm currently working on a rummage sale for them.  If you have items you would like to donate just send me an email.  TBS7100@yahoo.com  I'm also working on a freezer meal fundraiser.  I don't have all the details worked out yet.  Keep an eye on the blog for more information in the next few months.

If you're local there is a spaghetti dinner this weekend.  Here are the details!

I know not everyone is able to give financially.  Right now prayers would be wonderful!  Lift up the Kaurins and their soon to be son, D.
