Sensory Bin: Letter S

Asher "officially" starts preschool this year.  I have never done a special preschool in our homeschool.  Eliana started Kindergarten at 4 so that would be the only preschool year we had.  The twins just played and did the activities Eliana was doing.  Asher desperately wants to do school.   I have looked at preschool curriculum, but I just can't get myself to buy one.  I went to school to be a preschool teacher, surely I can figure this out.  So we are doing a letter a week with different worksheets and activities.  We had our busy bag exchange a few weeks ago with our homeschooling group.  He will have fun learning with them.  I decided to make our sensory bin tie in with each lesson.  This week we are learning the letter s.   I pulled everything yellow I could find out and put it in the bin.  We also have several different letter S in the box.

I could use the accountability to change this each week with our letter.   What do you currently have in your sensory bin?  How do you incorporate it into your homeschool?

  1. Last week I made jello in our sensory bin...it was fun for like 5 minutes and then took me two days to get it cleaned out. The stickiness went on forever and I just wanted to throw it out! I need to refill this week still. I too could use some accountability. I made Jo a check off list so she holds me accountable because she wants to do school so much! (I will blog about all this sometime...)
