Every year on Christmas Eve we have a birthday party for Jesus. Normally we have cupcakes. This year I decided to bake a cake. I thought it would be fun for the kids to decorate it today. It is going to be a little hard to decorate!
The cake refused to come out of the pan. Eliana's response was, "It's OK mom, it will still taste good."
I immediately thought of 1 Samuel 16:7
But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."
What a perfect reminder for me of what is really important.
I have the same exact picture I took this year! I tried twice with that cake pan this year because it was one of my traditions. Great attitude!
