Scotch Scallops
Brown 1 LB. ground beef and 2 Tablespoons minces onion in hot fat (I used a couple tablespoons of butter). Then mix, stirring very little, with 1/2 cup milk, 1 teaspoon salt and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Cover:simmer until meat is done. Serve hot in a border of fluffy mashed potatoes.
The note that went along with this recipe is that it was featured in a series of radio talks during WWII.
This is by far the best recipe we have tried. We all enjoyed it and I will be making it again. I served it with roasted cauliflower.
